In order to assist MCU students impacted by COVID-19 in family and personal life, the institution is implementing financial aid measures based on student’s individual situation to walk hand-in-hand with students through the difficulty. Thus the measures of Ming Chuan University Financial Aid for Disadvantaged Students Affected by COVID-19 are provided.
All MCU students, including domestic and foreign students of undergraduate programs, masters’ programs, and executive masters’ programs (excluding Mainland China students and Overseas Chinese Class students), no matter students themselves or their family, under financial duress due to COVID-19 from May 1 to July 31, 2021, can apply for MCU financial aid from the date of this announcement.
The review will be conducted by written application; the priority and sequence of aid for domestic students (including Overseas Chinese students) will be based on the degree of duress on the family and individual student, and the financial adversity. Foreign students’ applications will be reviewed by the Committee based on the degree of duress on the family and individual student, loss of parent and single parent status. Approved applicants will be granted NTD 2,000 to 18,000 of financial aid based on individual cases, or NTD 1,600 to 1,800 off-campus rent subsidy per month, which will be issued as a three-month lump sum (Please choose one type of financial aid from these two.). The deadline is August 31, 2021; those who apply earlier will be granted financial aid upon approval by the institution.
